Albert Einstein was born of Jewish parents on March 14, 1879 in Ulm, Germany. Einstein attended elementary school in Munich. He enjoyed music and playing the violin. Although Einstein was only an average student, he was a great thinker and taught himself analytical geometry and calculus. Albert Einstein began working as an examiner at the Swiss Patent Office in 1902. In 1905 he published his “Special Theory of Relativity”, which included the expression of the relationship between mass and energy. Einstein was awarded a Ph.D. degree from the University of Zurich for this work. Based on his concepts of relativity, he offered theoretical answers to problems in astronomy, which were later proved by observations. In 1915 Albert Einstein published his “General Theory of Relativity”.
