1767 – John Quincy Adams born July 11, 1767 at Braintree, Massachusetts.

1796 – Marries Louisa Catherine Johnson.

1803 – John Quincy Adams elected to Senate.

1817 – John Quincy Adams appointed secretary of state by James Monroe.

1825 – John Quincy Adams assumes office as sixth president.

1829 – Retires to Massachusetts.

1831 – John Quincy Adams elected to House of Representatives.

1848 – John Quincy Adams dies February 23, 1848.
