1706 – Benjamin Franklin born January 17, 1706.

1730 – Benjamin Franklin marries Deborah Read.

1732 – Franklin first publishes Poor Richard’s Almanack.

1765 – Ben Franklin persuades British Parliament to repeal Stamp Act.

1775 – Franklin returns to American and joins revolution.

1776 – Franklin helps draft Declaration of Independence.

1776 – Franklin obtains support of France in Revolutionary War.

1781 – Benjamin Franklin helps negotiate peace with England.

1785 – Franklin elected president of Pennsylvania Assembly.

1790 – Benjamin Franklin dies April 17, 1790.
